Biographical Database

Our Collection

The Society has an extensive local history archive and research facility at the Mundaring Station Masterís House. This resource includes objects, documents, artefacts and historic photographs. Our collection is progressively being entered into a fully searchable computer database. This means that our thousands of photographs, documents and artefacts can be easily located and researched. Eventually all of our records will be searchable on line.

Reference Library

We hold a very extensive collection of books relating specifically to the history of the Shire of Mundaring and the hills district in general. These books are located in our research room in the Mundaring Station Masterís House. The public are welcome to make use of these books for research purposes.

Research Files

The Society maintains a comprehensive collection of files relating to all aspects of the Shire of Mundaringís history. This includes information on the various townsites, the pioneers in the district, local buildings, local churches and schools, industries and events. Through the research of members, new information is constantly being added to these files.

Members of the public are invited to come in and use our facilities. A small fee will be charged for photocopying. Research can be carried out for you but a small fee will be charged.
